Job summary

DoorDash Labs, an autonomous technology team within DoorDash, seeks an experienced technical operator to lead live testing, deployment, and validation of cutting-edge autonomous tech. You will bridge engineering and operations, ensuring safe deployment and actionable feedback to product teams.

You’ll mentor junior members, develop testing protocols, analyze logs, and produce insights to drive product improvements in a fast-evolving environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of autonomous vehicle, robotics, or complex systems testing in live operations.
• Ability to exercise sound technical judgment and troubleshoot complex behaviors.
• Experience partnering with engineering to investigate issues and influence product improvements.
• Strong written and verbal communication to document findings for cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee live testing across transport, deployment, and safety validation.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and business operations to validate new capabilities and mentor juniors.
• Conduct and document complex tests, evaluate robot behavior, identify issues, and provide actionable feedback to engineering.
• Use logs and internal tools to analyze issues, document findings, and track resolutions with the team.
• Develop and implement testing processes, protocols, and checklists to improve safety and reliability.
• Generate reports summarizing findings and strategic recommendations for engineering and operations.
