Job summary

Intermountain Health's Platte Valley Hospital in Brighton, CO seeks experienced nurses transitioning from Critical Care or Emergency Department to Labor & Delivery. The role includes comprehensive L&D training and night-shift nursing in a fast-paced, team-focused setting where autonomy and clinical judgment are valued.

You will work with OB triage, fetal monitoring, vaginal deliveries, C-section circulation/recovery, postpartum care, and newborn education, supported by collaborative physicians

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice.
• Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment.
• BSN within four years of hire; Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• OB triage and patient assessment.
• Labor support and fetal monitoring.
• Vaginal deliveries.
• Circulating and recovering C-sections.
• Postpartum recovery.
• Newborn stabilization and education.
• Patient and family education.
• Collaboration with physicians, anesthesia, pediatric, and interdisciplinary care teams.
