Job summary

CHS Recruiting is seeking a Physician – Geriatric Primary Care for Lexington, KY. The role focuses on high-quality geriatric care in long-term care settings with autonomous practice and remote support from a clinical/administrative team.

The physician will manage a low patient volume, supervise APPs, and collaborate with facility leadership and families. The position offers W2 and 1099 options, competitive base salary, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Board-certified geriatric or internal/family medicine physician.
• Licensed to practice medicine in Kentucky (or eligible).
• DEA registration and ability to supervise APPs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality geriatric care in skilled nursing and long-term care settings.
• Engage with facility leadership, other providers, patients and families.
• Supervise nurse practitioners and physician assistants; audit supervised providers’ documentation.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams and participate in on-call schedule.
• Contribute to quality outcomes: care-path compliance, reduce avoidable transfers, and manage polypharmacy.
