Job summary

ALTEN is seeking Software Engineers to contribute to the development of next-generation autonomous aircraft software. You will test and verify onboard software, work with a multidisciplinary team, and participate in V&V activities on flight-critical systems.

Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are required. The role involves reviewing requirements, developing test strategies, and using HIL simulators to validate timing-critical interfaces.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a relevant engineering or computer science field.
• Experience with verification and validation of complex HW/SW systems.
• Familiarity with aerospace or autonomous vehicle domains is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review system and software requirements to meet testing standards.
• Develop test strategies and plans for integration and system testing.
• Write and execute test procedures and scripts for robustness.
• Use Hardware-in-the-Loop simulators for timing-critical interfaces.
• Report results and identify risk areas.
