Job summary

A private property in Middle Tennessee is hiring an Estate & Grounds Manager — the person who will own the standard of its grounds and land. Full autonomy. This is a self-directed role with limited day-to-day on-site supervision.

You walk the property, see what needs to be done, build your own work plan, and execute it. A true 40-hour week with scheduling adjustments for storms; you may lead a small grounds crew as needs grow.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing a large private property or estate grounds to exacting standards
• Proficient operator of tractors, implements, skid steers, and excavators with chainsaw/pole saw experience
• Hands-on maintenance and basic repairs; welding a plus
• Self-starter who plans and manages own work without supervision and can direct helpers
• Professional communicator with owners; reports weekly and coordinates with vendors
• Willing to supervise outside vendors and a small grounds crew; valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Own the grounds maintenance program and build a weekly work plan.
• Walk the property, assess needs, and execute maintenance.
• Prepare and send weekly photo reports to ownership.
• Supervise outside vendors and a small crew.
• Maintain grounds to estate standards and ensure show-ready conditions.
