Job summary

HireArt is seeking an Autonomous Vehicle Safety Driver in Austin, TX. This 12-month, full-time contract role involves safely operating autonomous vehicles, collecting data, and monitoring systems during real-world testing.

You'll conduct daily inspections, prepare reports, and collaborate with engineers and operations teams to support development while maintaining high safety standards. In-person work and varied shift options are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years holding a valid U.S. driver's license.
• Clean driving record with no DUI, drug-, or alcohol-related offenses in past 5 years.
• Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and sense of responsibility.
• Ability to remain focused and distraction-free for extended periods.
• Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and on different road types.

What You'll Do

As an Autonomous Vehicle Safety Driver, you will:

Available Schedules

Tuesday – Saturday

• 40 hours per week (8-hour shifts)

AM Shift Options:

• 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM

• 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM

• 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

PM Shift Options:

• 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM

• 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM

Friday – Monday

• 40 hours per week (10-hour shifts)

AM Shift:

• 4:30 AM – 3:00 PM

PM Shift:

• 2:30 PM – 1:00 AM

Note: New hires will begin on either the 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM shift or the 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM shift, based on hiring needs.
