Job summary

Wayve is seeking a Robotics Generalist for the Vehicle Generalization team in Sunnyvale, CA. You will help integrate and evaluate the autonomous driving stack across multiple vehicle platforms, working closely with measurement and applications teams on-site.

The role requires strong C++/Python skills and a robotics background in control, state estimation, and sensor fusion. Domestic/international travel may be required in a hybrid Sunnyvale setup.

Qualifications

• Experience with data-driven development, including defining metrics, building tooling, and performing data analysis.
• Core robotics expertise: strong background in control system design, state estimation (odometry/localization), and sensor fusion.
• Programming proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; based in Sunnyvale, CA.

Responsibilities

• Lead vehicle generalization benchmark evaluation and metrics tooling.
• Dive deep into pragmatic variabilities with different platforms and contribute to the larger generalization metrics story.
• Cross-functional collaboration with OEM support engineering, measurement, and controls teams.
• Provide on-the-ground technical support enabling the autonomy stack for key customer programs (e.g., Nissan, Stellantis); may require travel).
