Job summary

Community Health Systems seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, using independent judgment and technical expertise to support physicians in patient evaluation and treatment.

You will verify patient identity, follow imaging protocols, and document results in the EHR and PACS while ensuring safety and patient comfort throughout procedures.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of clinical experience as an Ultrasound Technologist is required.
• 2-4 years of clinical experience as an Ultrasound Technologist is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound procedures independently per department protocols.
• Verifies patient identification and ensures appropriate procedures are ordered.
• Documents imaging and patient information in the EHR and scans into PACS.
• Maintains patient safety, care, and comfort during imaging.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Operates ultrasound equipment following policies and guidelines.
• Monitors supplies and coordinates inventory replenishment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular attendance and complies with policies.
