Job summary

Avride Inc. seeks a hands-on Robot Service Technician to support deployment of autonomous delivery robots.

You will handle assembly, maintenance, troubleshooting, and field operation across mechanical and electrical systems to solve complex problems in a fast-paced, real-world environment. This full-time position offers weekday hours with some weekend flexibility, onsite in the Miami, FL area, and collaboration with engineering and operations teams to ensure safe, reliable robot service and

Qualifications

• Experience using mechanical and electrical tools in workshop and field environments.
• Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience assembling/disassembling electromechanical systems.
• Experience installing and integrating custom electronic modules.
• Comfort with AC/DC electrical systems and safe working practices.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; capable of field travel.

Responsibilities

• Assemble wiring harnesses, cables, and connectors for autonomous robots.
• Install, configure, and replace sensors (LiDAR, cameras, ultrasonic).
• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of components.
• Follow schematics and procedures to ensure quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and preventive service on robot fleet.
• Diagnose failures, troubleshoot, and execute repairs.
• Test and repair mechanical/electrical systems including battery components.
• Document maintenance activities and findings.
• Travel locally to provide onsite technical support.
• Assist with deployment, testing, and validation in real-world settings.
• Support inventory management and parts organization.
• Participate in rapid prototyping and hardware validation efforts.
