Job summary

Vanderbilt Health seeks an experienced RN for the Birth Center to provide patient-focused care in unmedicated labor, birth, postpartum, and newborn care. Collaborate with CNMs to deliver evidence-based care and education across the patient journey.

You will join a team delivering specialized nursing services in a midwifery-led birth center, with autonomy and opportunities for professional growth within a large academic health system.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates evidence-based nursing practice.
• Plans and coordinates patient care across the continuum.
• Provides patient education and family education.
• Performs comprehensive patient assessments and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates to establish the plan of care and coordinates care delivery.
• Analyzes patient information to determine nursing diagnoses.
• Evaluates progress and applies interventions to achieve outcomes.
• Promotes health and a safe environment for patients and families.
