Job summary

AeroVect is seeking an Autonomous Vehicle Operator to join our Atlanta-based team at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. You will operate our autonomous tractors, monitor performance, and provide feedback to the engineering team to improve safety and efficiency.

The role requires a valid US Class C license with 3+ years of driving and prior lead or supervisor experience. Flexibility, reliability, and the ability to pass background checks are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience handling specialty vehicle types in complex environments.
• Valid US Class C Driver's License with 3+ years driving experience and clean record.
• Experience in a lead or sole-supervisor role.
• Reliable, detail-oriented with strong communication.
• Alertness and good driving instinct for autonomous vehicle performance.
• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends.
• Able to pass federal background checks and obtain airport security badge.

Responsibilities

• Operate AeroVect's autonomous vehicles at ATL airport.
• Log vehicle behavior, performance, observations, and key metrics.
• Supervise autonomous baggage tugs and drive them to and from their storage depot.
• Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections of vehicles and hardware systems.
• Work with engineering team to trial and test new vehicle features.
• Interface with staff interacting with the vehicle during cargo loading.
• Contribute to improvement of vehicle performance and handling of complex driving scenarios.
