Job summary

VCU Health is seeking an Autonomic Testing Technician to support patient care in the neurology testing unit. The role involves preparing patients for autonomic assessments, drawing up sterile syringes for sweat testing, placing EKG leads, and recording results in EPIC.

You will explain procedures to patients and monitor for safety throughout testing. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, and an associate degree in neurodiagnostic tech or allied health is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Neurodiagnostic Technology or allied health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for autonomic testing and explain procedures.
• Place EKG leads and other monitoring equipment.
• Perform autonomic tests and record observations in EPIC
• Maintain supply levels and order testing supplies as needed.
• Support scheduling and respond to patient questions.
