Job summary

Luxoft in Troy, MI is seeking an Electronics Technician to support Vision Systems development and testing for automotive camera systems.

You will install customer products in test vehicles, assist with vehicle retrofits, and build/maintain test fixtures and ECU programming setups. Strong soldering skills, schematic reading, and experience with test equipment are required. A relevant associate degree and 5 years of hands-on R&D experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics or related field.
• Experience with soldering, PCBAs repair/rework, wiring and test setups.
• 5 years of experience in a similar role in an R&D environment.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Ability to read schematics and use test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install customer products in test and data capture vehicles.
• Follow up on vehicle retrofit plans, including timing and budget estimations.
• Coordinate with other teams or suppliers for new tools.
• Define BOMs for in‑vehicle testing and data logger requirements.
• Select components and build harnesses for setups.
• Solder/repair camera ECUs/PCBs and build fixtures.
• Build and maintain test engineering workstations.
• Support test drives and 5S in the lab.
