Job summary

DARCARS of Silver Spring is hiring an Automotive Valet to support customer satisfaction by guiding vehicles in and out, parking and retrieving cars, and assisting service staff.

The role requires a valid driver's license, a safe driving record, and strong communication with customers and coworkers. A high school diploma or GED is required, and applicants must be at least 18. Additional duties may include shuttle runs and maintaining a clean service area.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers with a smile and directs them to parking or vehicle retrieval.
• Assists service write-up and tagging of vehicles.
• Maintains efficient vehicle flow within the dealership as tickets are generated.
• Moves client vehicles to and from the shop as needed for service visits.
• Provides shuttle service to customers when requested.
• Reports safety or policy concerns to management.
• Keeps service area clean and dry, and handles garbage removal.
• Cleans driveways and walkways, removing debris, ice, and snow as necessary.
• Follows dealership policies and procedures.
• Performs any other duties as assigned.

In this role, you'll:

• Conducts business in a professional and ethical manner
• Greets every customer with a smile
• Directs customers to their desired destinations when parking or retrieving their vehicles
• Assists with service write-up and tagging of customer vehicles
• Assists with efficient vehicle flow within dealership as service tickets are generated
• Assists Advisors and Technicians by moving client vehiclesto and from the shop andanything else they may need to complete the service visit
• Provides shuttle service to customers, when requested
• Reports to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its employees or customers
• Maintains cleanliness of service area, keeping floor clean and dry, as necessary
• Responsible for garbage removal
• Cleans driveway and walkways, removing debris, ice, and snow, as necessary
• Complies with DARCARS policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
