Job summary

DARCARS of Fairfax is seeking an Automotive Valet to support dealership operations and enhance the customer experience. You will assist with parking, vehicle movement, and service write-ups while maintaining safety and a friendly demeanor.

The role requires a valid driver's license, good driving record, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Previous detailing or manual vehicle experience is a plus, and the position offers benefits and growth paths within the dealership.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers with a smile and provides directions to parking or retrieval areas.

• Provide shuttle service to customers when requested.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the service area and surroundings.
• Report any safety or policy concerns to management.

TheAutomotive Valet positionplays an extremely important role in customer satisfaction and the overall continued success of our company. In this role,you areresponsible for lane management and will perform various tasks and errands.

For this role, you'll need:

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable, safe driving record
• Strong communication skills with both customers and DARCARS employees
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service
• Requires a High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
• Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand for long periods of time in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs
• Detailing experience is a plus
• Ability to operate manual vehicles is a plus

In this role, you'll:

• Conducts business in a professional and ethical manner
• Greets every customer with a smile
• Directs customers to their desired destinations when parking or retrieving their vehicles
• Assists with service write-up and tagging of customer vehicles
• Assists with efficient vehicle flow within dealership as service tickets are generated.
• Assists Advisors and Technicians by moving client vehiclesto and from the shop andanything else they may need to complete the service visit
• Provides shuttle service to customers, when requested
• Reports to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its employees or customers.
• Maintains cleanliness of service area, keeping floor clean and dry, as necessary
• Responsible for garbage removal
• Cleans driveway and walkways, removing debris, ice, and snow, as necessary.
• Complies with DARCARS policies and procedures
• Assist in dealer exchanges
• Other duties as assigned
