Rohrman Automotive Group in Gurnee, IL is seeking a Used Car Technician to help inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition pre-owned vehicles so they are ready for sale and delivery. You will perform oil changes, brake work, suspensions, and other repairs while maintaining quality workmanship.

You should have mechanical and diagnostic skills, the ability to work independently, and a valid driver's license. Own tools are a plus, and strong attention to detail is essential.

• Previous automotive technician experience preferred.
• Experience working on used/reconditioning vehicles is a plus.

Used Car Technician

Gurnee Volkswagen is looking for a Used Car Technician to join our service team. This position is responsible for helping inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition used vehicles so they are ready to be sold and delivered to our customers.

What You’ll Do

• Inspect and evaluate used vehicles for mechanical and safety concerns
• Perform routine maintenance and mechanical repairs
• Diagnose and repair automotive systems and components
• Complete reconditioning work to prepare vehicles for salePerform oil changes, brake work, suspension repairs, and other general repairs
• Identify additional repairs needed and communicate findings with management
• Perform quality-control inspections on completed work
• Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and services performed
• Work efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship
• Follow all dealership safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines

What We’re Looking For

• Previous automotive technician experience preferred
