Job summary

Sonic Automotive, Inc. in Chattanooga, TN is seeking an entry-level Title Clerk to process titles, obtain documents, and resolve lien payoff issues within our Central Buying Solution.

You’ll track corrections, coordinate with intercompany locations, manage auction purchases and payments, and provide admin support across Sonic locations. The role emphasizes accurate data entry, strong communication, and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some Saturdays and evenings based on

Qualifications

• Knowledge of CDK is a plus and dealership accounting is preferred.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills are required.
• Good interpersonal, email and verbal communication skills.
• Computer literate with accurate data entry and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks and organize schedule.
• Flexibility to work some Saturdays and evenings based on workload.

Responsibilities

• Track and coordinate title corrections due to lost titles and liens.
• Coordinate with intercompany locations and vendors to obtain titles and supporting documentation.
• Track auction purchases and bill stores via ACH.
• Wholesale title and sister store reassignments.
• Resolve lien payoff discrepancies and review/pay lien payoffs.
• Organize all paperwork and verify VIN, cost, year, make, and model.
• Load units into the corresponding dealer locations.
• Reconcile accounts and schedules weekly.
• Post invoices, prepare checks and issue online payments.
• Provide administrative support to management and other Sonic locations.
