Job summary

Jgpete is seeking an Automotive / Light Duty Technician & Tire Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain passenger vehicles and light trucks. The role includes tire service on light‑duty and Class 8 trucks, with cross-training for heavy‑duty work and occasional mobile/roadside service.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of hands‑on automotive or tire experience, a valid driver’s license (CDL a plus), and a willingness to work on Saturdays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–3+ years hands-on experience in automotive repair and/or tire service; heavy-duty tire experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn and cross-train on heavy-duty trucks (Peterbilt/Class 8).
• Able to perform mobile/roadside tire service as needed.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use digital repair documentation.

Responsibilities

• Accurately diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on passenger vehicles and light trucks.
• Perform tire services including mounting, balancing, rotations, and repairs on passenger vehicles, light trucks, and Class 8 trucks.
• Provide mobile tire service and fleet support as needed, including off-site and roadside calls.
• Complete general maintenance and repairs including brakes, batteries, suspension, oil changes, and bolt-on parts.
• Assist with basic diagnostics and repairs on automotive systems including AC and electrical.
• Support shop operations with heavy-duty truck work (Peterbilt/Class 8) as needed.
• Tag warranty parts and returns, take photos; document all work clearly and accurately.
• Adhere to safety procedures and company policies; participate in training and development programs.

Job description

We are currently seeking an Automotive / Light Duty Technician & Tire Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is a skilled and reliable professional with hands‑on experience in automotive repair and tire service. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining passenger vehicles, light trucks, and performing tire service on both light‑duty and heavy‑duty (Class 8) trucks while upholding high safety and quality standards. This position also requires flexibility and willingness to be cross‑trained to assist with heavy‑duty trucks, including Peterbilt and other Class 8 vehicles, as needed. Saturday work is as needed based on business demands and is expected as part of this role.

Key Responsibilities
