Qualifications

• ASE/TIA certification preferred.
• 3 years of heavy-duty and tire service experience.
• Ability to operate diagnostic tools and basic shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs to specifications (wheel alignments, steering/suspension, brakes, engine work, battery, alternator, belts, tune-ups, scan codes).
• Diagnosis of problems on vehicle systems.
• Prepare service estimates and communicate required services.
• Administer fleet checks and maintain fleet vehicles per regulations and policies.
• Maintain safety, professionalism, and customer-focused service.
• Complete work orders and related paperwork accurately.
• Flexibility to support nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.
• Test-drive vehicles and components using diagnostic tools.
• Conduct pre-service vehicle inspections for safety issues.

Take Ten Tire and Lube currently has an opportunity available for Service Technicians who are energetic and team-oriented. We must have HD Service Tech knowledge and experience, be responsible for the service and maintenance of heavy-duty vehicles, and safely get our phenomenal customers back on the road. This job is demanding and competitive, requiring someone with an upbeat attitude and a positive outlook—only the serious and experienced need to apply.

As a Service Technician, your goal is to provide outstanding customer service while being the best in the business and servicing customers' vehicles. The primary role of this position is to provide mechanical service at all levels to our customers. This position offers efficient, comprehensive service that meets all our quality and safety requirements and works as part of a team to deliver a positive customer experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs to specifications (wheel alignments, steering/suspension systems, brake systems, light engine work, battery, alternator, belts, tune-ups, scan codes, sensors, flushes, etc.).
• Diagnosis of problems on all operational systems of vehicles.
• Prepare service estimates for vehicle repairs and communicate any required services.
• Administer Fleet Checks and safely maintain fleet vehicles in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
• Treat customers fairly and honestly and demonstrate our commitment to superior, passion-driven customer service and ethical business practices.
• Completes work orders and related paperwork accurately.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, providing service calls on nights, weekends, or holidays when needed.
• Comply with company safety policies & procedures and participate in all training when presented.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment.
• Conduct a brief overall vehicle inspection to identify safety or mechanical issues.
• Communicate any additional service needs encountered, along with the time and cost required to complete.
• Execute repairs and maintenance to meet safety regulations and the manufacturer’s specifications

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in heavy-duty and commercial tires.
• 3 years of experience in passenger, light truck, agriculture or industrial service.
• ASE/TIA certification and willingness to participate in training
• Ability to operate all auto repair tools
• Maintain high motivation, energy, and a customer-focused attitude.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Ability to lift and move tires weighing 30-250 lbs. with or without mechanical assistance.
• Must have an upbeat outlook and excel in a team environment.
• Enjoy a physically demanding work environment.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must pass a background check
