Employee Workplace in Long Beach, CA seeks an Automotive Thermal Product Engineer to design coolant, HVAC, and thermal systems. You will balance performance, packaging, manufacturability, cost and quality from concept to production.

The role requires 3+ years in automotive mechanical design with CATIA/NX/3DEXPERIENCE proficiency and strong GD&T knowledge. EV/thermal experience is a plus. Hybrid work with four days onsite per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline required.
• 3+ years of automotive mechanical design experience.
• Proficiency with CATIA, NX, or 3DEXPERIENCE.
• Working knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Understanding of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and pressure systems.
• Experience with DFM/ DFA principles and manufacturing processes.
• EV thermal management, HVAC, refrigeration, heat exchanger, or coolant system experience preferred.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsabilités

• Design thermal system components and assemblies using 3D CAD.
• Package and route coolant, refrigeration, and HVAC hardware.
• Develop heat exchangers, flow paths, seals, mounts, and related components.
• Apply GD&T and perform tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Design components for injection molding, brazing, stamping, extrusion, and machining.
• Support CFD, FEA, thermal, durability, and structural analysis.
• Perform DFMEA and support design validation activities.
• Create engineering drawings, manage design changes, and maintain BOM/CAD data.
• Collaborate with engineering, testing, manufacturing, and suppliers through launch.

Pay Rate: $42.31 per hour
Schedule: Hybrid, 4 days per week onsite

Take your automotive engineering experience to the next level by helping design advanced vehicle thermal systems from concept through production. We are seeking an Automotive Thermal Product Engineer to develop coolant, refrigeration, HVAC, and thermal management hardware while balancing performance, packaging, manufacturability, cost, and quality.
