Job summary

Link Engineering Company is seeking a Test Technician, I to operate a dynamometer and run tests to gather data for automotive applications. The role requires ensuring data meet design specifications and involves setting up equipment, documenting results, and assisting with test part preparation.

The ideal candidate has at least a high school diploma, AS in Engineering Technology preferred, and 2 years of related lab experience.

Qualifications

  • AS in Engineering Technology or related field preferred
  • High school Diploma
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in an automotive engineering laboratory
  • Completed coursework in digital electronics, circuit functions, and basic electronics preferred

Responsibilities

  • Set up mechanical, hydraulic, or electric test equipment per engineering specs
  • Ensure fixtures for parts, measurements, and pictures are valid
  • Monitor test equipment to ensure tests run as expected
  • Ensure test results are complete and accurate
  • Inspect or test parts to identify defects or malfunctions
  • Document and report defects or malfunctions for customer/engineer decisions
  • Document test results using cameras, spreadsheets, and documents
  • Prepare test parts including mapping of rotors and brake pads
  • Assist other departments with setups and teardowns of test equipment
  • Maintain safety during all procedures
  • Adhere to LINK Group core values and conduct
