Link Engineering Company is seeking a Test Technician, I to operate a dynamometer and run tests to gather data for automotive applications. The role requires ensuring data meet design specifications and involves setting up equipment, documenting results, and assisting with test part preparation.

The ideal candidate has at least a high school diploma, AS in Engineering Technology preferred, and 2 years of related lab experience.

Qualifications

• AS in Engineering Technology or related field preferred
• High school Diploma
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in an automotive engineering laboratory
• Completed coursework in digital electronics, circuit functions, and basic electronics preferred

Responsabilités

• Set up mechanical, hydraulic, or electric test equipment per engineering specs
• Ensure fixtures for parts, measurements, and pictures are valid
• Monitor test equipment to ensure tests run as expected
• Ensure test results are complete and accurate
• Inspect or test parts to identify defects or malfunctions
• Document and report defects or malfunctions for customer/engineer decisions
• Document test results using cameras, spreadsheets, and documents
• Prepare test parts including mapping of rotors and brake pads
• Assist other departments with setups and teardowns of test equipment
• Maintain safety during all procedures
• Adhere to LINK Group core values and conduct

We are looking for a talentedTest Technician, Iyou will be responsible for operating a dynamometer and running tests to gather data on multiple applications to ensure data meets design specifications established by Customers.

Main Responsibilities:

• Set up mechanical, hydraulic, or electric test equipment in accordance with engineering specifications, standards, or test procedures
• Ensure fixtures for the parts, measurements, and pictures are appropriate and validated to ensure function and fit exists
• Monitor machine-controlled test equipment to ensure the test is performing as expected
• Ensures test results are complete and accurate
• Inspect or test parts to determine the nature or cause of defects or malfunctions
• Document and report all defects or malfunctions so appropriate decisions can be made by Customers and Engineers
• Document test results, using cameras, spreadsheets, documents, or other tools as required
• Preparation of test parts including mapping of rotors and brake pads
• Assist other departments as needed for setups and teardowns of various test equipment
• Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment
• All other related duties as assigned
• Possess mental faculties consistent with performing the minimum requirements of the job

Qualifications:

• Associate of Science in Engineering Technology or a related field preferred
• High school Diploma
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in an automotive engineering laboratory or equivalent related work experience
• Completed coursework in digital electronics, circuit functions, and basic electronics preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Proven knowledge of the practical application of Engineering Science and Technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, and procedures to the equipment for production
• Analytical, observant, and communicative to handle the precise nature of the work
• Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
• Ability to us a computer

Physical Requirements:

• This position is located in a testing environment and will involve hands‑on work. Physical activity will include lifting (up to 50 lbs.), bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity or standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to speak verbally, and read in English
• Ability to see with corrective lenses
• Ability to hear
• Ability to walk
• Ability to travel up to 10% domestically
• Normal hazards related to working in an office environment, manufacturing, and testing environment
