Yazaki North America, Inc. in Canton, MI is seeking a Hardware Engineer - Test System Development to join our Testing team.

The role focuses on designing, developing, integrating, and validating automotive hardware and automated test systems, using PCB design, embedded systems, and software in C/C++ and Python. You will collaborate with design, validation, and program management teams to build reusable test solutions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with industry requirements.

Formación

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in automotive industry, preferably test system development or embedded systems.
• Experience with PCB schematic design, layout review, and hardware debugging.

Responsabilidades

• Support design, development, integration, and validation of automotive hardware and automated test systems.
• Gather and review requirements for test systems to meet customer and industry standards.
• Design, develop, test, and integrate test system hardware and software.
• Perform hardware testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Review schematics, PCB layouts, and hardware documentation.
• Develop software tools and scripts for test automation and data analysis.
• Verify completed test systems and provide ongoing support and maintenance.
• Document test system designs and configurations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and testing.
• Create modular, reusable test system designs to maximize equipment utilization.
