Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Body Hardware Test Engineer to lead and support test development for body and vehicle systems. You will coordinate cross-functional teams and manage lab projects to ensure timely execution of test plans.

The role requires a Bachelor's in mechanical or electrical engineering, 1–3 years in automotive testing, and proficiency with NX CAD and TeamCenter. Collaboration with CAE, Release Groups, and Test Engineering is essential to meet program milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent from ABET-accredited program.
• 1–3 years of automotive testing or engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components.

Responsibilities

• Lead test setups for component- and vehicle system-level testing to meet DVP&R requirements.
• Support fixture design and fabrication for body/component level testing.
• Collaborate with CAE, Release Groups, and Test Engineering to ensure timely test completion.
• Plan tests, manage lab projects, and coordinate with SBU personnel to meet timelines.
• Execute body hardware tests and investigations for new systems and CAE correlation.
• Contribute to mechanical life testing and durability evaluations across vehicle programs.
• Lead chassis and brake testing activities, including data analysis and instrumentation support.
• Support Weights & AMG teams with weight correlation improvement and part measurements.
• Perform metrology and CMM-based dimensional analysis at parts and system levels.
• Develop and support Hardware-in-the-Loop testing for steering, suspension, brakes, ESC, ABS, and EPS.
