Midlands Technical College invites applications for an Automotive Technology Professor located on the Beltline Campus. The role delivers classroom, laboratory, and hands-on instruction across automotive systems, fostering student engagement and workplace readiness.

Responsibilities include maintaining instructional materials, assessing student learning outcomes, and collaborating with program leadership to ensure a safe, effective learning environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum associate degree in Automotive Technology and 3+ years of direct Automotive Technology experience; Master ASE certification.
• Experience in Heating and Air Conditioning Repair, Electrical Systems, Brake, Suspension and Steering, Engine Performance/Repair, Drive Train Repair preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials needed for course instruction and testing.
• Keep student records and adhere to course schedules.
• Use LMS to communicate with students, faculty and staff.
• Conduct lectures and lab sessions; relate instruction to course objectives.
• Submit grades, reports, and records in a timely manner.
• Maintain currency in field and stay current with automotive trends.
• Assist Program Director with timely notification of supplies or equipment needs for lab instruction.
• Collaborate with program leadership to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.
