Chattahoochee Technical College in Marietta, GA seeks an Automotive Technology Adjunct Instructor to deliver coursework across automotive technology programs at multiple campus locations, including Appalachian, Marietta, and BCCCA. The position is part-time, term-based, and reports to the Technical Studies & Engineering Technologies Associate Dean and the Dean of Business and Technical Studies.

Teaching will involve lectures, labs, and student advisement, with lab safety and documentation

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate Degree in Automotive Technology and ASE certification.
• Minimum two years of industry experience in automotive technology.
• Official transcripts must be on EZHr.
• Bachelor’s degree and Master ASE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT POSITION: Automotive Technology Adjunct Instructor Principal assignment: Appalachian, Marietta and BCCCA campus locations

Position Description

Part-time position available as Adjunct faculty. Part-time position based on semester system. Under supervision of the Technical Studies & Engineering Technologies Associate Dean and the Dean of Business and Technical Studies, the instructor will be responsible for providing guidance and instruction necessary to prepare students with the technical competencies essential as an automotive technician. The adjunct instructor will perform all aspects of instruction as an adjunct instructor for the Automotive Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) and/or Degree/Diploma program. Note: Adjunct faculty positions are part time positions of employment appointed on a per academic term basis. Therefore, your employment is limited and there is no expectation that your association with Chatt Tech will extend beyond this term.

Minimum Qualifications

Educational Level: This position requires a minimum of an Associate Degree in Automotive Technology, a minimum of two years industry experience in automotive technology or a related field is required. ASE industry certification is required in the area being taught. Applicant must meet the minimum requirements before scheduling an interview. Applicant is responsible for ensuring official/unofficial transcripts are on EZHr.

Preferred Qualifications

A preference is given to applicants having a bachelor’s degree, three or more years of industry experience and applicants with Master ASE certification in several areas.

Salary/Benefits

Salary dependent paid on course taught. There are no State Benefits. Please be aware that all Chattahoochee Technical College employees must be paid by DIRECT DEPOSIT unless exempted by the State Accounting Office based on “hardship” evidence provided by the employee.
