Job summary

Koons Tysons CDJR, part of Asbury Automotive Group, is seeking an Automotive Technician/Used Car Specialist in Tysons, VA. You will perform routine repairs, diagnose vehicle issues, and support the service team in delivering outstanding guest experiences. The role requires basic tools, solid mechanical skills, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• VA state inspection and emissions license preferred.
• Make accurate use of the multi-point inspection form on each vehicle.
• Document all work performed and communicate with service advisor when additional work is needed.
• Maintain technician proficiency as specified by Asbury standards.
• Pass pre-employment screening (background & drug test).
• ASE certifications heavily preferred.
• Manufacturer certifications heavily preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs and diagnosis with some assistance.
• Handle light engine work, electrical systems, HVAC, steering & suspension.
• Complete work orders and ensure warranty repair documentation.
• Road test to verify work completed when necessary.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and customer satisfaction standards.
