Job summary

Koons Tysons CJDR is seeking a capable Automotive Service Technician to perform routine repairs and diagnostics with some supervision. You will work on light engine work, transmissions, electrical systems, HVAC, steering and suspension, and support warranty repairs.

The role emphasizes collaboration, adherence to inspection protocols, and ongoing manufacturer training to stay current with new technology. Competitive benefits and entry to a growth path are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience performing routine auto repairs and diagnostics with some supervision.
• Familiar with multi-point inspection forms and warranty repair orders.
• Preference for ASE/Manufacturer certifications and prior technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Make accurate use of the multi-point inspection form on each vehicle.
• Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Communicate with service advisor when additional work is needed.
• Maintain technician proficiency as specified by Asbury standards.
• Conduct road tests to verify repairs and confirm success when practical.
• Perform all levels of diagnosis and repair on vehicles.
• Perform all levels of preventive/routine maintenance services.
• Complete warranty paperwork and file warranty claims as needed.
• Report safety or machine issues to management promptly.
