Job summary

Bridgestone Americas is seeking a Senior Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while leading a team toward higher customer care and satisfaction. The role offers a sign-on bonus up to $2,000 and a flat-rate pay model based on task completion.

The position emphasizes ongoing training, ASE certifications, and opportunity for professional growth within Bridgestone's retailer network in Roanoke, VA. Pay ranges reflect regional rates and performance-based pay.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license at all times.
• Experience with brakes and hydraulics; steering & suspension and alignments.
• Certification/license as applicable (federal/state/local).
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications - brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least three of A1 – A8 within first two years of employment.
