Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking a Junior Automotive Technician to perform basic mechanical repairs, tire mounting/dismounting, oil changes, and routine maintenance. You will document vehicle conditions using inspections and assist with safety inspections where allowed.

Qualified candidates have at least 2 years of technician experience, can operate diagnostic equipment, possess a valid driver’s license, and are willing to obtain relevant state licenses as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of previous automotive technician experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
• Current, valid Driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to obtain a State Inspector License (in applicable locations) is preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic mechanical repairs based on level of experience.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes, fluid changes and power flushes and other basic services.
• Utilizes the company’s Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order to document vehicle condition.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections (in applicable locations) following guidelines.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Adheres to Sun Auto’s policies and values; assists as assigned.
