About the Role

The Technician role is full-time or part-time, an hourly position based on business needs. Responsibilities include vehicle diagnostics, routine repairs, and maintenance, delivering exceptional service by effectively communicating issues and solutions, and meeting guest expectations for quality and timeliness.

Salary Range

$17.00 - $19.00 per hour guarantee, plus flat rate of $25 - $35 per hour based on experience. Additional incentives are available.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform vehicle diagnostics and identify required repairs.
  2. Complete Courtesy Inspections on every guest vehicle, documenting and communicating needed services.
  3. Assist in inventory management and store duties, maintaining cleanliness and readiness.
  4. Ensure safety standards are followed, including wheel torque and oil safety procedures.
  5. Test drive vehicles following company policies, adhering to traffic and safety laws.
  6. Comply with company policies, environmental codes, and safety standards.
  7. Maintain technical knowledge through training courses.
  8. Operate and maintain all equipment safely.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Automotive training or equivalent experience.
  3. ASE certification and State Inspection license preferred.
  4. Valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
  5. Own a basic set of tools or participate in Monro’s tool purchase program.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Work in an automotive shop environment with exposure to noise, weather, chemicals, and physical demands such as lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, reaching, and bending.
