Job Description
About the Role:

The Technician role is full-time or part-time, hourly, based on business needs. Responsibilities include vehicle diagnostics, routine repairs, and maintenance, delivering exceptional customer service by effectively communicating vehicle issues and solutions, and meeting guest expectations for time and quality.

Salary Range:

$15.00 - $18 hourly guarantee, plus flat rate of $25 - $35 per hour, depending on experience. Additional incentives may apply.

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform basic vehicle diagnostics and identify necessary repairs.
  2. Complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection on every vehicle, documenting and communicating additional needed services; audit inspections by other technicians.
  3. Assist in inventory management, including pulling tires and parts, and stocking.
  4. Maintain store cleanliness and ensure it is guest-ready.
  5. Perform services safely, adhering to safety standards and procedures.
  6. Test drive vehicles following company policies, maintaining safety and traffic laws.
  7. Follow all company policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  8. Maintain and update technical knowledge through training courses.
  9. Operate and maintain all equipment safely according to guidelines.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Automotive training or experience in basic maintenance and repair.
  3. Preferred: ASE certification and State Inspection license.
  4. Valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
  5. Own a basic set of tools or participate in Monro’s tool purchase program.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Work is performed in an automotive shop environment with exposure to noise, weather, chemicals, and dust. Must be able to work flexible hours and lift up to 50 lbs., with frequent standing, walking, and physical activity.
