• Ability to work with hands overhead and lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay is based on experience.

$18.00-$38.00 per hour

The Automotive Technician position is responsible for the efficient diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of guests' vehicles. This role offers a comprehensive Technician training program starting from day one, covering all aspects of the position and preparing you for advancement. As an Automotive Technician at Monro, you will be a vital team member performing repair services on guest vehicles, contributing to delivering 5-star guest experiences, and ensuring customer safety and vehicle reliability.

Responsibilities

• Perform brakes, suspension, tire installation, scheduled maintenance, and other automotive repairs and maintenance within your qualifications.
• Secure guest approval before performing work based on diagnosis; maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections on every vehicle serviced; perform necessary repairs and maintenance.
• Test drive guest vehicles and safely use the shop truck for inventory pickup as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and provide leadership to General Service Technicians.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Have and maintain an Automotive Technician State Inspector’s license.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Automotive technician experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to work with hands overhead, stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Guest and team-focused mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE automotive certification in at least one of A1-A8.
• Automotive technical school certificate/degree.
