Lube Technicians work in a fast-paced environment and are responsible for servicing our guests' vehicles to ensure quality workmanship. They perform Jiffy Lubes' Signature Service Oil Change, maintain, inspect, and service cars and light trucks with a focus on our guests' needs and expectations. This is an important job in our Jiffy Lube stores and critical to our success. Every J-Team member receives comprehensive training from Jiffy Lube University, our award-winning training program, for certification.

Qualifications

Previous experience is preferred with at least 1-year of on-the-job training in a dealership, automotive shop, tire center, or quick lube. Strong automotive experience or vo-tech training will also be considered.

Job Duties Include, but are not limited to:

• Performing Jiffy Lube Signature Service oil change
• 17-point Report On Condition visual safety inspection
• Servicing filters, light bulbs, wipers, tire rotations & other minor services
• Flushing & filling coolant, transmission, power steering, and other vital fluids
• Performing clean-up duties and maintaining an orderly service center

Once certified, you will be eligible for advancement opportunities to become a Plus Tech/Mechanic, Service Advisor, or Supervisor/Key Holder.

Physical Qualifications

Lube Technicians must be prepared to stand for long periods on hard surfaces and work in environments with hot and cold temperatures, loud noises, and exhaust fumes.

Other Physical Qualifications Include:

• Operating equipment such as oil and grease guns, transmission machines, and hand tools
• Lifting and moving items up to 25 pounds
• Performing physical activities like pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting
