Job summary

AutoNation is seeking an Automotive Technician in Tempe to perform vehicle repair and maintenance per dealer and factory standards. You will communicate with the Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer expectations, diagnose issues, and carry out repairs as authorized by customers.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, 3+ years of experience, and automotive technical training.

Qualifications

• Automotive technical training (varies based on store needs).
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance work per the repair order, to dealership and factory standards.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs when authorized by the customer.
• Conduct multi-point inspections to ensure safety and reliability of customer vehicles.
• Document all work performed on the repair order.
• Maintain inventory of standard technician tools and special tools.
• Stay updated on factory bulletins and participate in training classes.
