Job summary

CarMax in West Point, Virginia is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair and recondition vehicles to CarMax standards. You will work with a team in a modern, climate-controlled facility and contribute to customer trust through high-quality repairs across a range of vehicles.

The role requires experience in engine repair, steering/suspension, brakes, and HVAC, plus a valid license and ASE certifications as applicable by state law.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems, based on the needs of the role.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license.
• Maintain ASE Certifications as required by state/local law.
