Job Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team at Elevation Chevrolet GMC in Boone, North Carolina. This is a full-time, hourly position in the auto industry, involving skilled labor responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as an automotive technician and be able to work independently while collaborating within a team. The technician will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to ensure safety and functionality.

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary ranges from $50,000 to $150,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications, paid biweekly. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and ongoing training and development opportunities.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on various vehicle makes and models.
3. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve problems accurately.
4. Complete repairs and maintenance efficiently and timely.
5. Communicate with team members and customers regarding repair status and timelines.
6. Manage parts inventory and order necessary parts.
7. Follow all safety procedures and protocols during vehicle work.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Own tools required.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
