Job summary

A & A Sales and Service in Statesville, NC is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our growing service team. Compensation will be based on experience, capabilities, and productivity.

The ideal candidate has experience, takes pride in their work, can diagnose concerns, and is comfortable handling repairs from start to finish. We offer a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive repair preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use modern scan tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and service information.
• Valid driver's license and own basic tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality repairs.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work with a team.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; ASE certificates a plus.
• Willingness to grow skills and take on challenging repairs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical vehicle concerns using scan tools and service information.
• Perform automotive repairs accurately and efficiently.
• Complete routine maintenance such as oil changes, brakes, tires, and fluid services.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and identify needed repairs.
• Diagnose and repair engine, cooling, steering, suspension, brake, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Document diagnostic findings and completed repairs clearly.
• Communicate repair recommendations to service advisors.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work area; work as part of a team.

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical vehicle concerns using scan tools, diagnostic equipment, and service information
• Perform automotive repairs accurately and efficiently
• Complete routine maintenance including oil changes, brakes, tires, fluid services, and scheduled maintenance
• Perform thorough vehicle inspections and identify needed or recommended repairs
• Diagnose and repair engine, cooling, steering, suspension, brake, electrical, HVAC, and other vehicle systems
• Clearly document diagnostic findings and completed repairs
• Communicate repair recommendations and technical information to service advisors
• Follow established shop procedures and maintain accurate repair documentation
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Work as part of a team to keep jobs moving through the shop efficiently
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and customer satisfaction

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
