Job Description

As an Automotive Technician at Monro, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining guest vehicles. You will undergo comprehensive training from day one, preparing you for advanced roles. Your work will ensure safe, reliable transportation for our guests and contribute to delivering a 5-star guest experience.

The hourly pay ranges from $18 to $20 guaranteed, plus flat rate earnings of $28 to $40 based on experience. Additional incentives and compensation are available.

Responsibilities
  • Perform brakes, suspension, tire installation, scheduled maintenance, and other automotive repairs as qualified.
  • Obtain guest approval for work following diagnosis and maintain a clean work area.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and perform necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Test drive vehicles and safely use shop equipment for inventory pickup.
  • Collaborate with team members and provide leadership to general service technicians.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years of automotive technician experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Own basic automotive tools or participate in our tool purchase program.
  • Ability to work overhead, stand long hours, and lift 50 lbs.
  • Guest and team-focused mindset.
  • Maintain an Automotive Technician State Inspector’s license, if applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ASE certification (A1-A8).
  • Automotive Technician State Inspector License.
  • Technical school certificate or degree.
