Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Level II Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of vehicles. The role supports both independent work and team collaboration in a shop setting with a rotating Saturday schedule.

Responsibilities include maintenance, repair of brakes, electrical systems, emissions, drivability, and routine inspections. Strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and keeping detailed vehicle records is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years of related work experience servicing vehicles.
• 3+ years vehicle service and repair experience.
• Ability to drive standard and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Performs Preventive Maintenance: oil changes, oil and fuel filters, transmission flush and vehicle inspection.
• Performs repairs and maintenance including OBD II systems, brakes, tires, tune-ups and electrical components as certified.
• Maintains and repairs shop equipment and keeps area clean and safe.
• Creates and maintains vehicle history and maintenance records; may up-fit vehicles with equipment.
• Performs diagnoses and repairs, including brakes and drivability, emissions, steering, HVAC, and engine work.
• Provides roadside assistance as needed and coordinates with vendors for parts and repairs.
