Cox Automotive in the United States is actively seeking an Auto Maintenance Technician II to perform preventive maintenance, basic to advanced repairs, and diagnostic work on a range of vehicles. This on-site role requires a strong focus on safety and accurate record-keeping, with opportunities for growth into Level II responsibilities.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED and at least 3 years of vehicle service experience, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years of related work experience servicing vehicles instead of the degree.
• 3+ years of vehicle service and repair experience.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Diesel diagnostic experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs preventive maintenance: oil changes, oil filter, fuel filter, transmission flush, and inspection of the vehicle for mechanical deficiencies.
• Based upon certification levels, performs various repairs and maintenance which may include: OBD II systems, brake components, tires, tune-ups, suspension components, electrical systems, State Safety Inspections, interior/exterior components, engine and drive line components, etc.
• Keeps shop area clean and tidy. Perform work in accordance with safety standards. Dispose of all fluids in a safe manner and in accordance with all regulations.
• Creates and maintains vehicle history and maintenance records. May up fit new vehicles with the necessary equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
• Additional Responsibilities for Level II: Performs light to major repairs and advanced vehicle diagnostics; coordinates parts with vendors; provides roadside assistance; conducts a wide range of diagnoses and repairs.
