Job summary

Plaza Tire Service in Festus, MO, is seeking a Junior Automotive Technician to perform basic diagnostic and repair tasks, including oil changes, tire services and light maintenance such as brakes, suspension and alignments.

The role requires at least 2 years of automotive technician experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain a state inspector license where applicable. Compensation is $20–$27 per hour plus a flag rate, with benefits listed below.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of previous automotive technician experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
• Current, valid Driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• State Inspector License preferred where applicable.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic mechanical repairs based on level of experience.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes, fluid changes and power flushes and other basic services.
• Documents vehicle condition using Multi-point Inspection and Repair Order.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections (where applicable) following guidelines.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Adheres to company policies and flexible work schedules including weekends.
• Adheres to Sun Auto’s core values and handbook guidelines.
