Job summary

Monro in Hampstead, MD is hiring a Technician to perform basic vehicle diagnostics and routine maintenance. This is a full-time or part-time hourly role paid on a flat-rate, performance-based system designed to reward skill and efficiency.

You will deliver 5‑star guest service, communicate issues clearly, and meet time and quality expectations. Candidates should have a high school diploma, automotive training, ASE certification and state inspection license if applicable, a valid driver's

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Automotive training including basic car maintenance and repair or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ASE certification and State Inspection license (where applicable) preferred.
• Must possess a current valid driver’s license and have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Required to own a basic set of tools or participate in Monro’s tool purchase program.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic vehicle diagnostics to properly identify required repairs.
• Complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection process on every guest vehicle and communicate additional needed services.
• Assist in inventory management including pulling tires and parts; stocking inventory.
• Maintain store cleanliness and guest-ready condition; perform general store duties.
• Adhere to safety standards and Monro’s procedures including wheel torque and oil safety.
