Job summary

Bridgestone Automotive Services is seeking an Automotive Technician in Houston, TX. You will learn and perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance under supervision, addressing multiple vehicle systems and customer needs.

The role emphasizes hands-on learning, quality workmanship, and a fast-paced environment; ASE certifications are supported with company-paid opportunities, and the pay range is $16.63 to $24.99 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
  • Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
  • Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance & tire repair services including: oil changes
  • Basic inspections
  • Repairing tires
  • Reading, writing, and math skills.

Responsibilities

  • Change oil and perform other scheduled maintenance services.
  • Perform inspections of steering, suspension, and brake systems.
  • Install batteries and check electrical systems.
  • Perform tire maintenance.
  • Install parts.
  • Road test vehicles.
  • Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least one A1-A8 within first two years of employment; tests and registrations fees paid by company; bonuses for tests passed.
