Johnson Volvo Cars Durham – Southpoint Area is seeking experienced Full-Time Automotive Service Technicians at all levels. Join a team that values diagnostics, quality repairs, and continuous training to advance your automotive career.

Responsibilities include reviewing repair orders, performing repairs to manufacturer standards, and communicating findings with the Service Advisor. A valid driver's license is required and a flexible schedule is appreciated.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive repair experience, level depending on technician path.
• ASE Certification preferred; manufacturer certifications are a plus.
• Strong diagnostic, mechanical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple repair orders in a fast-paced shop.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with teammates and advisors.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently or in a team.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review repair orders, clarifying concerns with the Service Advisor or Dispatcher as needed.
• Diagnose vehicle concerns accurately and perform repairs to standards.
• Complete maintenance and repair services while meeting quality and productivity expectations.
• Inspect vehicles for additional needs and communicate findings to the Service Advisor.
• Collaborate with Parts Department to obtain required parts promptly.
• Document all procedures, repairs, parts used, and recommendations clearly in the repair order.
• Preserve and tag warranty or requested parts per requirements.
• Perform road tests to verify concerns and repair quality.
• Maintain knowledge of manufacturer bulletins and evolving vehicle tech.
• Participate in training and continuing education to enhance skills.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety policies.
