Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service in Portland, OR is seeking an Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair customer vehicles using diagnostic equipment and MAP guideline standards. You will perform multi-point inspections, repairs, and explain needed work to customers and staff.

Adherence to safety procedures is required, with weekend flexibility but Sundays off. Applicants should have automotive technician experience or ASE certifications, a valid driver's license, and a high school diploma or

Qualifications

• ASE certifications preferred in lieu of experience.
• Proficient use of computerized diagnostic equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to certifications and experience.
• Performs multi-point inspections and repairs with accuracy.
• Explains diagnostics and needed repairs to customers and store staff.
• Recommends necessary services and documents recommendations in customer file.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Work flexible schedules, including weekends when needed (excluding Sundays).
