Avis Budget Group is hiring an Automotive Mechanic (B Tech) in Austin, TX. You will perform essential repairs on a diverse fleet of newer vehicles, including oil services, brakes, tires, and suspension tasks, with support from senior technicians as you develop your skills.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and customer readiness, with on-the-job training and opportunities to grow ASE certifications. A strong mechanical background and tool readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional auto repair experience or automotive coursework with certifications.
• At least 1 ASE certification, with the ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year.
• Familiarity with Engine Repair, Drivetrain/Axles, Suspension/Brakes, Electrical, HVAC, Engine Performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer vehicles.
• Oil and fluid services, tire repairs, brake work, suspension repair, and routine maintenance.
• Assist senior technicians with diagnostics and repairs as skills develop.

Your responsibilities may include oil and fluid services, tire repairs, brake work, suspension repairs, and other routine maintenance or warranty-related repairs based on your experience level.You may also support senior technicians with more complex diagnostic and repair work as you continue to build your skills.
