Job summary

A leading tire and auto service provider in Somerville is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to perform vehicle repairs and ensure the highest quality of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include tire service, lube changes, safety inspections, and unsupervised vehicle diagnostics. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, at least 1 year of experience with ASE certifications, and possess a valid Driver's License. Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience with 1-3 ASE certifications.
• A valid Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Correctly mounts, dismounts, balances, and repairs passenger and light truck tires.
• Properly perform lube/oil/filter changes on domestic and foreign cars.
• Properly perform and document vehicle safety inspections.
• Perform unsupervised diagnosis and repairs of vehicles.
• Produce accurate repair estimates on customer vehicles.
• Work with store management to ensure productivity.
• Properly adhere to safety and environmental standards.
• Communicate with customers in understandable terms.
• Adhere to internal controls, policies, and procedures.

Skills

Customer service focus in a retail environment

Ability to lift 40-50 lbs

Basic conflict resolution skills

Solid understanding of the automotive tire and auto service industry

Basic understanding of VAST and automotive PC programs

Basic math skills to produce accurate repair estimates

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
