Job summary

Lighthouse Buick GMC, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Automotive Technician to start with 12 months of Quick Service, then apprenticeship opportunities to learn new systems and diagnostic tools as you work toward ASE certifications.

The role is full-time, with a schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday–Friday. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, PTO, and a 401(k) plan with employer contributions, plus an optional financial wellness program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training preferred.
• Candidates with automotive repair experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Check and communicate oil level to teammates.
• Ensure tire pressure is correct for proper inflation.
• Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary.
• Complete vehicle inspections.
• Install a new oil drain plug and oil filter.
• Lubricate fittings and keep service area clean.
• Greet guests professionally and provide quality service.
• Perform maintenance items as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Automotive Technician - Entry Level

Lighthouse is looking for an individual who exudes a servant heart, has a good work ethic with outstanding communication skills. Entry level Technicians begin with 12 months of work in Quick Service. After that time, strong performers will have the opportunity to apprentice and upskill as an Auto Technician, learning new systems and diagnostic tools, and working towards their ASE certifications. The shop environment is fast-paced, great teamwork skills are a must, as well as a high attention to detail. As a technician, you will be responsible for servicing our guests' vehicles and ensuring quality workmanship.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.00 - $24.00 per Hour
Schedule: 8 AM to 5 PM M-F

Essential Duties:

• Check and communicate oil level to other Teammates
• Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation.

Education and/or Experience:

• One of the following:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One to three months related experience and/or training.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Candidates with previous automotive repair experience preferred.
