Job summary

CarShop Chester Springs is seeking an Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair a wide range of domestic and import vehicles. You will work on engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and comfort features, ensuring quality work and timely turnarounds in a busy shop.

Qualifications

• ASE certification preferred with 2-5 years of experience required.
• State and Emissions License preferred.
• Strong work ethic: reliable and dependable.
• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding performance goals as an Automotive Technician/Mechanic.
• Working knowledge of shop equipment including diagnostic tools, alignment systems, wheel and tire equipment, and A/C equipment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Team-oriented, flexible, and focused on delivering a high level of customer service.
• Take pride in producing quality work the first time.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and stay up to date with rapidly changing automotive technology.
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing to include a background check, drug test, and Motor Vehicle Record; must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, and air conditioning to specification.
• Work on a wide variety of domestic and import vehicles, not just warranty repairs.
• Perform work outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealer and manufacturer standards.
• Complete full automotive troubleshooting and testing.
• Propose creative, practical, and cost-effective solutions to problems and process improvements.
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a clear, non-technical manner to service advisors and customers.
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional repairs.
• Ensure vehicles are repaired accurately and kept clean; road test vehicles to ensure quality repair the first time.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop environment.
